Barcelona, Spain - July 2012

We were taken on a driving tour around Barcelona and its main sites before reaching our hostel right in the city centre. Best location. We had a group dinner and went to a Flamenco show that night- they dance with such passion!

Sagrada Familia
The problem with Barcelona was the 1L jugs of sangria we had at dinner followed by cocktails later that night :S Let's just say I have been put off sangria for life! Though it did result in a great night exploring the nightlife and dancing away with the rest of the group.
The next morning (really not feeling the best) we went to the Sagrada Familia which is a massive church designed by Gaudi that is still in construction. It was amazing inside and out.

Ruth and I decided to take on the Spanish Siesta so had a nice rest in the park then got up went to the hostel, and siesta'd some more. Finally was able to function again so headed out for a walk around the La Rumbla markets and then Spanish Tapas for dinner...yum!
